Welcome to AAAO

The Alabama Association of Assessing Officials is a professional organization that strives to promote equalization through the promotion of a professional education program.

A Message from our President, Barbara Cooper

I would like to take this opportunity to say, “Thank You!” for allowing me to have the honor to serve as your President for 2018-2019. I count it a privilege to be a part of this organization and to serve on the Executive Board along with the other Board Members. I take this position seriously, and I will do my very best to serve you. If I can be any help to you please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I, do, ask for your support and input to help better the AAAO. If you have any suggestions about workshops, classes, or any activity, I ask that you share that with me or any of the other Board Members. I want this to be an exciting and beneficial year.

The Alabama Department of Revenue Property Tax Division and Auburn University Government and Economic Development Institute promote Professional Designations and continuing education programs. The Alabama Association of Assessing Officials are proud to partner with these great organizations in striving to make the education experience enjoyable.

If you would like to serve on a committee please let me know, we would love to have you.

Thank you, again, for letting me serve as President of the AAAO.

Message from the President

By virtue of this publication, please be advised the annual AAAO Mid-winter Conference will not be held this year due to the organization’s budgetary constraints. The Executive Board met in August following the AAAO Summer Conference to discuss this and future conferences and district meetings. To better serve our members, the District meetings will be combined, and its agenda will be enhanced to include information normally provided in the conference format.

We look forward to seeing you at the enhanced District Meeting. The date and location will be announced soon. Details regarding the 2019 Summer Conference at Perdido Beach Resort will be announced in the spring.

Thank you for all you do for the AAAO. For district meeting suggestions or other comments or question, contact any of the officers via the contact information here.

Barbara Cooper

Sincerely,
